Sublime Racing Announcement 16th August 2022

Over the years we have worked so hard to give runners of all abilities the most sublime racing experience possible.

We have loved every single minute of it and we couldn’t be prouder of what we have achieved, both in terms of the standard of our events and the smiles we have put on thousands of runner’s faces.

To reach this point has involved an incredible amount of hard work and commitment from our core team we affectionately call the Crew along with the love and support of hundreds of Racemakers, all giving their time and enthusiasm to support their fellow runners.

After every race we are flooded with wonderful feedback thanking our team and Racemakers for hosting another amazing Sublime event.

To continue delivering the standard of races we strive for, is becoming ever more difficult. Since the pandemic and now the escalating financial situation, entries across all events have been low and this makes it harder to achieve our vision of what a good events look like.

It is really important to us at Sublime to keep the standards really high and we would rather not put an event on than compromise on this core value. With all of the above in mind, we have decided to not hold the New Year’s Eve 10k this year at Ferry Meadows and to take some time out to consider the longer term future of Sublime.

Of course we will refund the entry fees of those that have already entered and we know that this will be very sad news to so many of you that have supported us over the years. We are not saying its forever and we will continue to review things in the hope that the events world will pick up in time.

We hope that you will understand how difficult it has been for us to make this decision. We absolutely love putting on these races and are so proud of the joy we have brought to so many of our runners.

On a personal note, it would be impossible for me to explain just how much work the key Crew members have put in behind the scenes to deliver these events but suffice to say, I owe them a huge gratitude and will never forget just how much they gave. They mean the world to me. Thank you team.

Finally, I would personally like to thank each and every one of you for supporting us over the years and hope that we can do it again in the future.

Kind Regards

Martin on Behalf of the whole Sublime family.
